Heavy fines for Safa Vhembe teams

LIMPOPO- The Safa Vhembe Regional League imposed heavy fines on several clubs during its sittings that were held at the league’s offices on May 13 at Thohoyandou.

Mandiwana Western Gunners were found guilty of assaulting a match official and causing the abandonment of their game against Mapakophele Fire Makers.

A player of Western Gunners, Khathutshelo Ramalivhana, was singled out as the one who had assaulted the match official during the game. They were ordered to pay a fine of R8 000, while the points for the match were awarded to Fire Makers.

Ngwenani Young Chiefs were found guilty on three charges, namely the assault on a match official, invasion of the pitch by supporters and threatening and intimidating match officials.

The case relates to an incident that took place during their league game against SMSA FC.

Young Chiefs were ordered to pay a fine of R8 000 within 30 days, apart from the fact that they will forfeit the points for the match to their opponents.

SMSA FC were found guilty of failing to provide security for match officials. They were ordered to pay a fine of R2 000 within 30 days.

Mudimeli Western Bombers were found guilty of causing the abandonment of their game against Matanda Rockers.

A fine of R3 000 was imposed on them, apart from the fact that the points for the match were awarded to Matanda Rockers.

Phylimak FC were found guilty of refusing to play their league match against Ghandlanani Golden Arrows and the failure to appoint alternative accredited match officials in the same match.

A fine of R8 000 was imposed on them.

Ngovhela XI Experience were fined a total of R7 000 after they were found guilty on three charges, namely intimidating the match officials, causing the abandonment of their game against SMSA FC and failure to provide adequate security for the match officials.

The points for the match were awarded to SMSA FC.

Raliphaswa Black Panthers were found guilty of causing the abandonment of their league game against Mudimeli Western Bombers. They were ordered to pay a fine of R3 000.

The points for the match were awarded to Western Bombers.

Seven United Brothers were found guilty of causing the abandonment of their game against Maelula United Brothers and failure to provide adequate security for the match officials.

The committee ordered them to pay a fine of R4 000 within 30 days. The points for the match were awarded to the opponents.

Khalavha Napoli had caused the abandonment of their game against Maelula United Brothers.

A fine of R5 000 was imposed on them. They forfeit the points for the match as well.
