Gymstars’ rhythmic gymnasts excel at Limpopo Championships

Gymstars rhythmic gymnasts competed at the Limpopo Championships in Polokwane on August 20 while the artistic gymnasts competed in Thabazimbi recently.

POLOKWANE – Gymstars rhythmic gymnasts all qualified for the Limpopo team that will be competing at the South African Gym Games in Pretoria during the October school holiday.

Results are as follows:

U/13:

  • Maricke Fourie: First overall and gold for her free dance routine.
  • Ditheto Mahomole: Third overall and silver for her rope and clubs routine.
  • Thato Lebese: Fourth overall, gold for rope, silver for rope.
  • Annabelle Swanepoel: Fifth overall.

Level 5:

U/11:

  • Chloe Fernandes: Second overall, gold for her free dance routine and silver for hoop and ribbon.

U/13:

  • Moyagabo Moshokwa: First overall, gold for her hoop and ribbon routines.
  • Itumeleng Radebe: Fourth overall and gold for her free dance routine.

Results Artistic:

Boys level 1:

Six to eight years:

  • Muller Henning: First with an average of 9.28
  • Tristin-Blake Raath: Second.
  • Owen Botha: Third.

Nine to 10 years:

  • Muhluri Manganye: Third.

Boys level 4:

11-12 years:

  • Yonatan Joubert: First overall, gold for parallel bars and high bar.
  • Daveed Joubert: Third overall, gold for vault and floor.

Boys level 5:

12-13 years:

  • Hugo du Plessis: Third overall, gold for parallel bars and high bar.

Boys level 7:

13-17 years:

  • Durandt Boshoff: Second overall, gold for floor and pommel.

Girls level 1:

Nine years:

  • Joenelle Erasmus: Third overall.

Girls level 2:

Nine years:

  • Esmé Venter: First overall.

Girls level 2:

10-11 years:

  • Diane Fuchs: Second overall.

Girls level 2:

12-17 years:

  • Lee-Ann Visser: Third overall.
  • Mothato Poto: Fourth overall.

Girls level 3:

9-10 years:

  • Tayla Swart: First overall.
  • Rheze Tilburn: Third overall.

Girls level 4:

13 years:

  • Liane Swarts: First overall.
