POLOKWANE – Are you ready to ‘run cancer outta your hood?’

Registrations are now open for the 2022 Hollard Daredevil Run in Polokwane and it’s going to be even bigger, braver and ‘ballsier’ than before.

The annual event is hosted by Hollard to raise awareness about testicular and prostate cancer in men and to donate money to the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa).

For it’s 12th year, Hollard wanted to spread awareness in all provinces which is why this year’s event will not be hosted in main cities only.

Run Walk for Life Polokwane branch manager Ayesha Gatta told the Polokwane Observer that not only will men from every corner of South Africa be able to participate, but residents of Polokwane who want to join in support for cancer awareness and survivors.

“We would like men to be part of this ‘feel-good-through-doing-good’ national event,” Gatta said.

September 30 hopes to see more than 100 brave men in purple speedos in Polokwane take to the streets and all proceeds will go to Cansa and the Prostate Cancer Foundation of South Africa. “The Daredevil event offers a unique, integrated service to the public and to all people affected by cancer,” she said.

BodyLife Flora Park will play host to the event and the fun 5km will be around the gym.
