POLOKWANE – The tournament will see 32 amateur soccer clubs from Seshego and Mankweng vie for R60 000 prize money, a floating trophy and gold medals.
Mall of the North will provide teams that finish in the top four spots, with soccer kits, while Panarottis will provide food, drinks and replenishments throughout the tournament.
The marketing manager at the mall, Mari Nel, said they are pleased to be part of this worthy community initiative.
“The sponsorship is part of our mission to partner with initiatives that seek to uplift local communities and the Solly Malatsi Legacy Soccer Tournament is one of those partnerships we are proud to support as Mall of the North.”
Panarottis Mall of the North owner Clayton van Niekerk explained their sponsorship forms part of their community involvement initiatives. “We work within the communities and this partnership will enable us to develop a strong relationship with those communities.”
Malatsi said the partnership will help to grow the tournament. “We appreciate the gesture and are happy to have them on board.”
