Draw as Maelula United Brothers and Tshivhidulu Hungry Lions take to the turf

The two sides faced each other in a Safa Vhembe MMK Administrators League match at the Maelula grounds on Saturday.

LIMPOPO – No goals were scored when Maelula United Brothers and Tshivhidulu Hungry Lions clashed on Saturday.

The two sides faced each other in a Safa Vhembe MMK Administrators League match at the Maelula grounds.

Both sides started the match at a quick pace and threatened to hit the target in the opening minutes.

The first notable chance to open the scoring came in the eight minute when Brothers striker Vusani Tshgiafula beat Lions keeper Khuthadzo Khorommbi, but shot wide.

The match turned lukewarm towards the end of the first half, as both sides held onto the ball for too long.

In the second half, Lions kingpin Gudani Sivhugwana should have put his side in front, however, he shot wide and the score remained unaltered.

Musahathama Kutama of Lions was booked for a late tackle on Sello Molewa later on in the match.

Both teams made all their substitutions, but their introductions did not influence the match.

In the last five minutes, Brothers showed that they meant business by going forward fiercely. Their striker, Tsumbedzo Khodobo, beat the offside trap and ran straight towards the stranded keeper.

Khodobo could, however, not finish and his attempt went wide with an empty net in front of him.
