Bikers from across the continent join the Africa Ubuntu Breakfast Run 2022

Africa Bikers Brotherhood Forum hosted the sixth annual Africa Ubuntu Breakfast Run on January 30.

POLOKWANE – Bikers from across Africa joined in the fun from as early as 07:00. Local bikers from clubs as well as independent enthusiasts departed from the Polokwane Short Circuit Track and rode to Lebowakgomo and then to the Kaya in Mokopane.

“Ubuntu Breakfast Run is based on the three pillars of brotherhood which are loyalty, honour and respect. Brotherhood is a term within the biker community we keep close to our hearts that is used to describe the bond between bikers,” explained Ronald Leach, Limpopo Biker Council chairman.

Local bikers show up in their number to participate in the Africa Ubuntu Breakfast Run.

“We strongly advocate freedom and equal rights for all humans. We also encourage people to demonstrate peace, love and humanity towards one another. This is the foundation for the Ubuntu Breakfast Run in a nutshell. We might originate from the same continent, but our countries, races, cultures, backgrounds, upbringing and family values are different. Therefore to embrace our uniqueness and celebrate our diversity has been major building blocks that lead to the success of the previous five runs.”

Leash mentions their biggest milestone so far is getting the various clubs and non-organised biking affiliates to ride together.

“Our message to all role players is very simple; together we are stronger but alone we will all perish.”

Other countries that took part are Ghana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Namibia, Angola, Swaziland, Uganda, Kenya and Nigeria.
