Moshapo in tune with sports fans with his new podcast

Sports analyst Mohau Moshapo says his podcast is the perfect way for him to interact with other sports lovers.

LIMPOPO – The former Makhado FM sports presenter and producer, Mohau Moshapo, started his own sports podcast in Louis Trichardt, called The Banter Club.

The sports analyst said this is the perfect way for him to interact with other sports lovers.

Mohau, who resides at Eltivillas in Louis Trichardt, attended Impala Crescent Primary School in Lenasia (Johannesburg), and matriculated from Northern Academy Secondary School in Polokwane.

He later studied digital music composition and production at Boston Media House in Pretoria.

Moshapo has worked hard throughout the years to develop his skills as radio presenter and producer, which becomes apparent when he communicates with and entertains his listeners.

What he loves most about radio is the interaction with people, and his podcast is for all sports fans.

“Rugby, cricket, athletics, tennis and of course soccer, are the sporting codes we focus on.

“We look at fixtures, results, logs and Africa’s top sport stories. I receive a lot of coverage and it gives me an opportunity to interact with big shots from sporting circles globally. What I like about the podcast is that it is friendly and we interact with people from various sporting codes. We also profile local soccer teams.”

His secret to success is hard work, effective time management and the desire to succeed. “I have always believed that no matter how many shots I have missed, I’m going to make the next one. I want to tell the youth that it is important to get an education first, so that they can make a significant contribution to our community,” Moshapo continued.

He said he sets realistic goals for himself and strives to achieve them without failure. “I have also learnt to believe in myself and to learn from my past mistakes. Stay away from drugs and criminal activities and prepare yourself for careers that will benefit you in life.”
