Leopards on the hunt for more points

Black Leopards will hope to get back to winning ways in their GladAfrica league match on Sunday.

LIMPOPO – They played to a goalless draw at the Thohoyandou Stadium against the University of Pretoria last Sunday, and will now travel to Parow Park to face Cape Town Spurs.

Coach Morgan Shivambu said they will be focussed on getting the three points. He added that their aim is to win all their remaining matches, and he believes his side is good enough to collect maximum points come this weekend.

“The boys are doing their best and we have a good understanding,” he remarked.

Shivambu said their aim was to use the Spurs match as a stepping stone to the top of the log. “Apart from the fact that there is a lot at stake in the league, it is time for us to fulfil our promises and return to the elite league,” he explained.

Shivambu said they do not want to miss the chance to get three points. “I’ve told my boys that we can perform well, if we only focus and give our best. We are ready for this weekend’s match,” he added.

Meanwhile, Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila will want to build on their 1-0 victory against Jomo Cosmos last weekend. They will play against Richards Bay United at the Richards Bay Stadium on Saturday.

TTM interim coach Phuthi Mohafe said they had all the ingredients for winning matches. “We are proud of it and we want to keep the tradition going,” he added.

Venda Football Academy are back on home soil this weekend, after their 1-all draw against United last weekend. They will face Uthongathi FC in an important match which will be played at the Thohoyandou Stadium on Saturday.

All matches are scheduled to kick off at 15:30.
