POLOKWANE – Yin-Yang Karate and Self Defense Studio was rated as the best performing dojo at the medal competition hosted by Kofukan Karate Klub in Louis Trichardt on September 11.
This was an all-styles competition and more than 56 competitors from clubs in Louis Trichardt, Levubu, Musina and Polokwane competed. Despite the high standard, Yin-Yang Karate and Self Defense Studio managed to collect 24 medals of which 14 are gold and 10 silver from their 12 members who participated.
“We as a dojo were complimented for our performance through our display of character and discipline. We are now preparing for our national competition that will take place from October 8 to 10 in Brits,” said sensei Annatjie de Jager.
The dojo also celebrated Danien Weideman, who was their karateka of the month for August.
