Girls, don’t be afraid to dream, says top soccer player

Soccer star, Rhoda Mulaudzi received the Safa Women's League Top Goalscorer award during the Safa National Women's League Awards and dedicated her achievement to all the young women in rural areas.

LIMPOPO – Soccer star, Rhoda Mulaudzi bagged yet another award. Mulaudzi received the Safa Women’s League Top Goalscorer award during the Safa National Women’s League Awards ceremony held at Safa House in Nasrec, recently .

The Banyana Banyana player won the award for scoring 36 goals during the 2020 season.

She said she was excited about the award and indicated that it will motivate other girls from rural areas, as anything and everything is possible as long as you believe in yourself, work hard at achieve your goal. “I dedicate my award to all young women in rural areas, and encourage them to dream big and work hard and be disciplined,” said Mulaudzi.

Collins Chabane Mayor, Moses Maluleke, applauded her and urged other young people to emulate her achievements.

Rhoda also recently won the SAFTJA Female Player of the Year and Fans awards.

She won a league with Mamelodi Sundowns FC Ladies Soccer and Dinamo Minsky in the Belarusian League where she is currently playing. She was part of the Banyana Banyana team that represented the country in the 2019 Fifa Women’s World Cup.
