Jabulani Makhense takes the win against DRC Congo’s Eric Kapia

Makhense is one of the boxers who was groomed and trained by Limpopo veteran boxer and trainer, Eric Baloyi.

LIMPOPO –  Boxer Jabulani Makhense won the WBA Pan African and IBO Light Middleweight titles recently against DRC Congo’s boxer Eric Kapia in a match held in Johannesburg.

According to Makhense, he is happy about the win and he thanked his family and supporters.

“I would like to thank each and everyone who backed me from day one, my sponsor, my team, family and fans and most importantly, my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for protecting me and my opponent,” said Makhense.

He added that the habit of persistence is the habit of victory.

Makhense won with a TKO on the first round out of 13.

According to his sister, Rhulani Makhense who was overjoyed, the family was happy about the win and thanked her brother for putting them on the map.
