Limpopo PSL Corner: Polokwane City, Baroka and Leopards hope to get back on track

The Limpopo PSL Corner provides information, results and fixtures of the three Limpopo Absa Premiership teams.

LIMPOPO – The final games of 2019 in the Absa Premiership is set to be played on 21 and 22 December. All three the Limpopo teams are in action on Saturday and all three of them would like to get back to winning ways.

Polokwane City suffered yet another defeat in their last game, which was at home to Maritzburg United. The 1-0 loss saw them drop into 14th place – level on points with relegation threatened AmaZulu. Yusuf Jappie of Maritzburg’s free-kick added more troubles to Rise and Shine’s season. Their last fixture for the year is also not an easy one as they travel to Loftus Versfeld Stadium to face Mamelodi Sundowns.

Baroka came back from two goals down to get a solitary point against Orlando Pirates in their last game. Baroka looked down and out when they trailed 2-0 but a spirited fight-back saw them grab a point. They are currently on 12th place – with one point more than City.

Black Leopards’ last game was also a home fixture at the Thohoyandou Stadium. They faced a struggling AmaZulu team who sit in the relegation zone. Leopards could however not get the three points at home and travel to Orlando Stadium next.
