Local soccer player to represent Polokwane at the Las Vegas Mayors Cup

Soccer enthusiast, Siviwe Semenya, originally from Sterpark, is currently chasing his dreams of being one of the best soccer stars the country has produced.

POLOKWANE – Originally from the City of Stars, the Gr 12 learner at TuksSport High School says he has been afforded an opportunity to enhance his sportsmanship skills and talents.

“I was a six-year-old learner at Pemps when I first started playing soccer. I was inspired by my father, who was a good soccer player during his time and he supported my dreams and goals to pursue a career in sport, as well as continue to do what I love the most, to play soccer,” explained Siviwe.

Apart from his father and Nelson Mandela, the young player says he looks up to soccer stars such as Real Madrid star, Toni Kroos and Mahlatse (Coach Sparks) Kobe, who trained him during his stay in Polokwane.

“I love Toni Kroos because he is very talented and works hard to use his talents on the field and Coach Spark always believed in me and other players from FC Sparks. I want to be a boss mid fielder one day,” he added.

He goes by the name Register on the pitch and is currently in the USA to participate in the Las Vegas Mayors Cup, representing a Pretoria based team, Football Experience, as well as Polokwane.
