New kit for Polokwane Royals Academy thanks to Lions of Limpopo

Polokwane Royal Football Academy founder, Morris More, said they were honoured to receive the kit.

POLOKWANE – Lions of Limpopo handed over brand-new soccer kit to Polokwane Royals Football Academy recently.

“When the team’s management first contacted me about much needed soccer kit, I was hesitant. I did not think the team would last. They have however proved me wrong and I bought the kit for them. This is our our sister team, Polokwane Royals Football Academy. We wish them a happy 2019, hoping that they win the league yet again. There is a lot of talent in the team, and I wanted to contribute towards encouraging young people to pursue their dreams. The kit is also to honour their commitment and contribution to the development of soccer in the village,” said Lions of Limpopo Chairman, Lot Ramusi.

Ramusi said he would like to see the team being promoted and some of the players gaining more exposure in the soccer world.

“Soccer is called the beautiful game because it has the ability to bring people of different races, religions, tribes and criminal gang affiliations together. A soccer pitch is a place of peace, tranquility and seamless artistry where poverty, hatred and crime do not exist as villagers become family, teammates become brothers and after the final whistle, opponents become respected comrades exchanging handshakes, hugs and jerseys,” he said.

Polokwane Royal Football Academy founder, Morris More, said they were honoured to receive the kit.

“The kit will serve as motivation for the players. We are very grateful to be recipients of new soccer kit from our sister team Lions of Limpopo. We would like to thank our sponsors for this gesture and we urge them to continue doing this to uplift communities. Although we still need soccer boots and tracksuits for the winter, the new kit will go a long way in motivating us,” said More.

He said all football players between the age of 13, 15, 17, and 19 years are encouraged to register to form part of Polokwane Royal Football Academy.

“Registration fee once off is R250, and R200 monthly. These trials are aimed to scout young talented players and develop them to become better players, as well as to give them an opportunity to play at professional level. Players should bring along their original birth certificates or IDs,” he said.
