Top aces at Nirvana tourney

The Nirvana Tennis Development Tournament was held at the Polokwane tennis courts last weekend and saw 96 players take to the courts to show off their forehand, backhand and backspin skills.

POLOWKANE – The event takes place annually to celebrate tennis and help players from not only the city and Limpopo, but also other provinces to practice their tennis skills against other players who are not part of the professional tennis scene.

Players in their 20’s to players older than 50 took part in the tournament which was played over two days. The players took part in different age groups.

Results:

Group A winners: Ahmed Moola and Mohamed Asif.

Group B winners: Komotso Relabane and Ezekiel Selowa.

Group C (juniors) winners: Hamzah Patel and Refentse Ramokgola.

One of the organisers of the event, Mohseen Patel told BONUS they are proud to say that the event grows every year and that people from as far as Gauteng come to play. “We would also like to thank all our supporters and the sponsors who assisted in making the tournament a success,” he said.
