Adam Milanzi on par at the Kameeldoring Open

During the recent Kameeldoring Open in Mokopane at the Kameeldoring Golf Club, Adam Milanzi from Polokwane claimed the laurels as the victor.

 

POLOKWANE – Altogether 74 golfers took part in the challenge, the highest number the open has seen since its reopening five years ago.

“This is good for golf in Limpopo as we try to fill the course with our top players; we are trying to revive the opens in the Limpopo golf union. Adam Milanzi was announced the winner with a score of 74 and two over par and 70 two shots under par,” Jean Sadie, Limpopo Golf Union Operations Manager, said.

Adam Milanzi is proud of his victory at the recent Kameeldoring Open in Mokopane.

The tournament was tough and the leaderboard showed at least seven or eight players in the game to win it. Two of the players, Milanzi and Henk Geldenhuys, were the most consistent players with Geldenhuys just missing the tie with a short putt on the final hole.

• Adam Milanzi (Polokwane) 144.

• Henk Geldenhuys (Links Fancourt) 145.

• Gerhard Pepler (Mogol) 147.

• Vincent Olley (Polokwane) 147.

• Antony Hawken (Kameeldoring) 148.

Willem Rhynard Theunissen was the nett winner for the day, Geldenhuys was the day’s mid amateur champion, Malebane Petaki was the senior winner, Francois Janse van Rensburg was the junior winner and Makhudu Manamela was the C-division winner. The next tournament is the Drakensig tournament that will take place in Hoedspruit on 2 July.
