New kit for local soccer team thanks to sponsor

The Lethuli United Brothers Development soccer team on Friday, 15 June received a soccer kit donation from Roots Butchery in Polokwane.

POLOKWANE – “The team was founded in 2014 as a means to keep young boys, who indulge in activities that doesn’t contribute positively towards their upbringing and futures, off the streets. The boys are hence kept busy practicing for up and coming matches and in so doing they are given the chance to enhance their skills and knowledge regarding the sport,” said coach Oupa Molepo.

The manager of the team, Isaiah Molepo extended his words of gratitude to Roots Butchery: “We would like to thank Roots Butchery Polokwane for sponsoring the team with soccer kit, net and a goalkeeper glove. With their ongoing support since 2016 they  have helped us to develop the sport among these youths and we hope that together we can continue to touch more young lives. We also hope that this inspires other companies and other powerful sectors to lend a helping hand where they can to sponsor and organisation such as ours,’’ he said.

The team also thanks Mr Lekoloane from Lethuli Park, Tawkwal Cash and Carry for the support given. The team is however still in need of soccer balls, cones and whistles and  appeal for more donations from the community. For enquirers or donations you can contact the team at 083 992 4184/ 083 597 4411 or via at email: molepomi39@gmail.com
