Limbros’ gamers gear up

After securing fifth place at the recent Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) Online Provincial e-Sports Championship, the Limbros CS:GO Team Alpha are ready to show their mettle at the National Team Trials (NTT) in June.

POLOKWANE – The provincial championship was hosted in the city on 21 April and gamers from various provinces and regions competed from 09:00 to 17:00 to not only win the competition but to secure their spot at the NTT in Vereeniging on 2 and 3 June.

The teams that are selected during the NTT will have the opportunity to compete in the International e-Sports Federation (IESF) 10th World Championship at Kaohsiung City, Taiwan from 6 to 13 November this year.

From Polokwane the Limbros team, Tiaan An4vr1n Viljoen with fellow team mates Zedrigh Jetty Olivier, Keanu SSK Santoyo Silverio, Javier Shade Pena Varona Gonzalez and Arno OupaArno Joubert, finished fifth in the competition will represent the Fragcon MSSA Club in Vereeniging.

The team is under the leadership of Riaan van Staaden from Gaming X Dream (Pty) Ltd.

Southern5, under the leadership of Richard Ellis Brown, celebrated a well-deserved victory at the provincial competition. Generation X secured second place with TcR (Taccor Gaming) hot on their heels in third place.

“It’s not only nice to see our local boys compete at this level but also nice to see local companies like CapriCom Wireless Internet getting behind our Limpopo e-Sports athletes and backing them with the needed fast and reliable internet access,” Van Staden said.
