Golfers excel at Review’s first Longest Drive Challenge

The competition was presented by Review in partnership with PanSolutions and gave participants the chance to win an array of prizes to the value of R200 000.

POLOKWANE – Golfers flocked to the Polokwane golf course to take part in the Review Longest Drive competition, a first-of-its kind in the city.

Young and old tried their hand to see who had the longest drive, the best putt and the furthest smash of a marshmallow. The day also included an auction of some well-loved sports memorabilia.

Winners:

Kiddies:

1. Pieter Bronkhorst with a distance of 265 m, he won R1 000.

2. Otto Muller junior with a distance of 190 m, he won R1 000.

3. Jordan du Toit with a distance of 142 m, he won R1 000.

Women:

1. Desi Earle with a distance of 202 m, she won a 65″ TV and R1 500.

2. Roxanne Paul with a distance of 188 m, she won a 50″ TV.

3. Lauren du Toit with a distance of 179 m, she won an air-conditioner.

Men:

1. Jaco de Villiers with a distance of 336 m, he won a 65″ TV, Volvik gift set and R4 500.

2. Otto Muller with a distance of 318 m, he won a 50″ TV and R1 000.

3. Andrew Galloway with a distance of 317 m, he won an air-conditioner.

4. Liano Vivers with a distance of 316 m, he won R1 000.
