Local athletes take on Tzaneen Tuffy race

Athletes from across Limpopo took on the Tzaneen Tuffy on Saturday, 10 March just outside Tzaneen, braving the wet and misty weather for this 4-in-1 Comrades qualifier.

The Tuffy 42,2 km open women's winners Elize Nel, Pearl Hughes, Blessing Murewha and Geneva Rapata with the Tzaneen Tuffy organiser Wikus van Vuuren.

POLOKWANE – Athletes could compete in the 5 km, 12 km, 21,1 km and the 42,2 km race in which several Polokwane Athletics Club and Road Runners athletes brought home several medals. According to race organiser Paul Zaayman, the race lived up to its name as it was a challenge for runners who did not only need to battle the road but also keep up with the weather every step of the uphill race.
