City gear up for top eight battle

Polokwane City will focus on securing enough points in the remaining matches to end up among the top eight of the Absa Premier League.

LIMPOPO – City’s lethal striker, Rodney RamaG Ramagalela confirmed their plans, adding City is in a dangerous spot as they are fourth from the bottom of the log.

It won’t be an easy match when they meet Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday at the Dr Molemela Bay Stadium but City are eager to bounced back after they lost the National First Division Nedbank Cup match against Ubuntu Cape Town.

Ramagalela called on his teammates to redeem themselves in their upcoming matches. He said everybody was disappointed by last weekend’s match but it’s something they cannot reverse.

“We need to show character. We need to raise our heads and come back strong and make up for the three points we lost,” said Ramagalela. He added he worried when they dropped points and were beaten by penalty shoot-out in the match against Ubuntu Cape Town, saying his players, however, promised to rectify last week’s mistake.

Baroka are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations for their Nedbank Cup last 32 match against Platinum Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium Today (Wednesday).

Asked about his plans for the game, Baroka coach, Kgoloko Thobejane said Stars are no different from the other teams which they had beaten previously.
