Baroka ‘ready to face United’

Baroka will face off with Super Sport United this Saturday at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex.

POLOKWANE – Regardless of their two defeats at the hands of Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United in the league matches with heavy goals last weekend, Baroka coach, Koloko Thobejane, says the team is in tip-top shape for their face off with Super Sport United this Saturday at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex.

A look at the history of the two teams shows that Baroka and United have unfinished business.

United beat Baroka twice last year.

Thobejane feels they have not done enough to hurt the Tshwane boys.

“We want them to feel the same pain we felt when they beat us twice last weekend,” sayd Thobejane.

He adds that he is worried they might drop six points if they lose the next two matches.

He further says his players have been working on rectifying their mistakes from the previous matches.

Thobejane further urges the fans to come in numbers to support the team on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the long-awaited match between the Limpopo based team, Polokwane City, and Chippa United will be played at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.

City coach, Bernard Molekwa, was escorted from the stadium as the supporters were baying for his blood when City played to a 1-all draw against Wits on Saturday at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex.

City are perched at 14th spot with 12 points and Chippa are in the fifth spot with 19 points.
