To honour and acknowledge their karatekas for their hard work, the JKA Pietersburg Karate Club held their annual awards ceremony on Wednesday, 22 November.

• Most improved karateka – Abinav Kaipamanhalath.

• Karateka who showed the most effort – William Malebane.

• Male karateka with the most potential – Stephan van Rensburg.

• Female karateka with the most potential – Leandre Coetzee.

• Karateka with the most spirit – Minette Butterworth.

• Girl karateka of the year – Anica Badenhorst.

• Boy karateka of the year – Henri Purcocks.

• Junior belt boy karateka of the year – Coenrad Scheepers.

• Senior female karateka of the year – Marisa Claassens.

• Senior belt karateka of the year 2017 – Claude Reynolds.

• Senior black belt of the year 2017 – Chris van Rensburg.
