Dust off your running shoes for the Mapungubwe Half Marathon

Long distance runners can brace themselves for the Mapungubwe Half Marathon this Saturday with big prizes up for grabs.

POLOKWANE – This road race of 21,1 km will start and finish at the Polokwane rugby fields between the Peter Mokaba Stadium and the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex.

The total prize money is R76 800, with R4 500 up for grabs in each of the men’s and women’s open races.

Aside from the 21,1 km, athletes can take part in a 10 km and 5 km race, with prize money up for grabs for the category-winners. All athletes who finish the races will receive medals.

The 21,1 km and 10 km races both start at 07:00 and the 5 km race will begin at 07:15.

Registration starts at 05:00 and entry fees are R80 for the 21,1 km, R50 for the 10 km and R20 for the 5 km.
