Young karateka kicks it up a notch

Bonolo Chauke (9) joined the Ying Yang Karate and self Defense studio in June.

POLOKWANE – Newest member of Ying Yang Karate and self Defense studio in Nirvana joined the group of Karatekas earlier this year in June and has been doing exceptionally well according to Fazlin Jardien, assistant coach.

“Bonolo comes all the way from Seshego, his father drops him off every Monday and Wednesday for practice. This shows how much love, passion and dedication he has for karate. Since he started he has been an exemplary student and puts in all efforts to learn and be better than his last class, he is an absolute asset to Yinyang Karate and Self Defense studio and entered his first competition 16 Sept where he won 1st place for his Kata in a division of 9 boys, and he got 4th place for fighting,” she said.

Last month he was chosen as best Karateka of the month for his discipline, effort and team spirit and he will be grading to his yellow belt soon.

Sensei de Jager who is the coach and founder of Yingyang Karate and Self Defense studio as well as Fazlin Jardien, assistant coach, based in Nirvana said that they are very proud of this is rising star in karate and wish him all the best in his coming challenges.
