Lim ladies impress at local championships

The Polokwane Golf Club hosted the Limpopo Open and Closed Ladies Championships from 10 to 11 June.

POLOKWANE – The A division played 54 holes, 36 holes on Saturday, and 18 holes on Sunday – stroke play.

The B division played 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.

C division played 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.

The D division played 18 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.

Friends and competitors for the day, Elsune Roode and Lindi Coetzee.

• Naomi Molepo (Polokwane) – 56 points.

•Marne van der Merwe (Koro Creek) – 72 points.

• Nicola Schoeman (Middleburg) – 173 gross.

•A division winner Woo-Ju Son (Johannesburg Country Club) played 72, 74, 74 gross total of 220, beating Chiara Contomathios by two shots.

• Koksie Eager (Polokwane – Senior Champion) – 59 points.

• Naomi Molepo (Polokwane) – 56 points.

• Marne van der Merwe (Koro Creek) – 72 points.

• Belinda Schutte (Polokwane) – 192 gross.

• Cherie Siebert (Koro Creek) – 266 gross.

The ladies were spoilt with sweet treats and gifts and Sun Meropa sponsored a competition where they had to pop a balloon to win a voucher to either a meal at the hotel, or to a spa treatment.
