Catch all the oval action on 20 May

The Polokwane Oval Raceway is gearing up for its annual Winter Trophy races on Saturday, 20 May and promises to be filled to the brim with loads of action.

POLOKWANE – The event, sanctioned by the World of Motorsport (Womza), will see oval racers from Gauteng filling the starting grid along with the drivers of Polokwane.

Aside from the fireworks display planned for this event, these participating classes will provide their own fireworks on the track:

• Sprints.

• Midgets.

• Pintos.

• Hot rods.

• 2.0l modifieds.

• 1660 modifieds.

• Stockrods.

• Rookies.

• Ninja midgets.

The gates open at 12:00 and races are set to start from 17:00. The entry fee for adults is R50 and R20 for children under 12.

The Polokwane Oval Raceway and in particular the drivers from the 2.0l modified class also plan a Wheels Show at the showgrounds on 29 July.

The Wheels Show aims to raise money for the upcoming national round which will be hosted by Polokwane Oval Raceway on 9 September.

Stands for exhibitors will be available in the arena area and food stalls and a cash bar will also be available.

Anything with wheels will be accommodated at this show and car and truck dealers in Polokwane are encouraged to display their products at the event.
