Good turnout for Polokwane Golf Club
Golfers enjoyed a spot of social golfing during the Club Day where they competed in a Betterball Stableford format.
POLOKWANE – While some people may choose to go shopping and others to spend a quiet day at home or in the garden, keen golfers and health enthusiasts will probably opt for a social and interesting day on the golf course. Polokwane Golf Club had a good turnout on Saturday when 102 golfers took to the fairway.
Golfers enjoyed a spot of social golfing during the Club Day where they competed in a Betterball Stableford format.
The two top teams of the day included Benhardt Steyn and Butch Martens in first place with a total of 46 points, and Wynand Pretorius with Paul Grobler in second place with a total of 44 points.
The nearest to the pin was played by Butch Martens on hole four and by Nic Notley on hole 16.
The jackpot was also drawn at a total of 740 units with no winner yet at a payable amount of 490 units.
