TKO Cup final comes to Polokwane

The Peter Mokaba Sports Complex will set the scene for the Telkom Knockout Cup final between Cape Town City and SuperSport United.

POLOKWANE – Set to take place on Saturday, 10 December, this meeting promises to be one great match between the two sides. This is the second domestic cup final this year to be played at the field.

But this final is not just about the 90 minutes on the field, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) together with the cup sponsor, Telkom are pulling all stops to ensure the event becomes an annual festival.

A music concert, featuring some of the country’s hottest talent will be one of the main attractions for the public. The music line-up will be announced in the next few days.

Cape Town City first defeated Bloemfontein Celtic 2-0 and continued to clash against the home side Baroka FC where they defeated the side 4-3 and then finally clashed against the Free State Stars where they won 4-1.

SuperSport United first played against Ajax Cape town and defeated them 1-0, they then clashed against the CAF champions, Mamelodi Sundowns and won 1-0. Matsatsantsa then bumped heads against the Soweto Giants, Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals and won the game 1-0.

The final match between these two teams will start at 18:00 so make sure to head to the stadium and not miss out on this epic clash against two titanic teams.
