Zanis’ cream of the crop

Zanis Gymnastics Academy ended their year by celebrating their top performers during their junior and senior prize giving ceremony.

POLOKWANE – The ceremony took place last Tuesday and Wednesday.

The floating trophies for the various levels and categories went as follows:

Girls artistic:

• Level one best progress – Mia van der Merwe.

• Best level one gymnast in North Zone – Lejane Bredenkamp.

• Best level two gymnast in North Zone – Leane Lourens.

• Best level three gymnast in North Zone – Vine van den Heever.

• Best level four to six gymnast at the South Africa Gym Games – Sanja Pretorius.

• Hardest worker in level four to six – Lara Prenzler.

• 12 years of gymnastics – Xanri Steenkamp and Cleo-Anne Manamela.

Boys artistic:

• Best level one gymnast at North Zone – Zaeem Cassim.

• Best level one improvement – Lulu Mathoba.

• Highest apparatus point at North Zone for level one – Zack Schnell with 9,7 at low bar.

• Best level two u/9 at North Zone – Julian Lombard.

• Best level two over nine at North Zone – Berco van der Linde.

• Best level three at North Zone – Ayden Venter and Pedri Neethling.

• Most improved boy – Caleb Botha.

• Most improved boy at the South African Gym Games – Martin Botha.

• Best high school boy at the South African Gym Games – Liam Botha and Kyle Herz.

Rhythmic:

• Best level one u/7 in Limpopo – Reatlegile Ledwaba.

• Best level one u/7 interprovincial – Jeanell Malan.

• Best level one u/8 interprovincial – Naledi Jantjies.

• Best level one u/9 interprovincial – Lehlogonolo Semenya.

• Best level two u/8 interprovincial – Lepsy Chuene.

• Best level two u/9 or u/10 interprovincial – Thato Moena.

• Best level three interprovincial – Mikaila Jacobs.

• Best primary school gymnast level four to seven at the South African Gym Games – Melchizedek Maponya.

• Best high school gymnast level four to seven at the South African Gym Games – Monene Kelly.

Trampoline:

• Best beginner – Elizmarie Miller.

• Best trampoline gymnast of the year in Euro and Mini trampoline – Leandre du Preez.

Senior boys artistic:

• Most improved primary school gymnast – Caleb Braack.

• Best primary school gymnast – Martin Botha.
