Build-up bowls action

There was a buzz of excitement at the Polokwane Bowls Club on Saturday during the build-up game to the finals of the club singles that will take place on Saturday.

POLOKWANE – The game saw young and old on an equal footing as they played to get the perfect hit. Eight ladies and six men took part on the day. The bowlers invite young people to consider the sport and do away with the myth attributed to bowls being enjoyed by old people only.

“The sport caters for all ages and races and we encourage young people to join forces with us so that we can take the sport to the next level,” they said.

All interested people are invited to come and support the players at the Polokwane Bowls Club on Saturday. The games will start at 14:00.

In the final, Deon Viljoen will face off against Grant Lambert, and Lizelle Deacon will be facing off against Nikkie Viljoen.
