Body Life Gym wants you to get active

The Body Life Gym fitness team host regular fitness challenges such as the one that took place at Flora Park Spar on Saturday.

LIMPOPO – It is a widely accepted belief that following a strict diet and exercising regularly helps prevent diseases such as diabetes and contributes to a longer lifespan.

The Body Life Gym fitness team are eager to prove this as they encourage residents of the city to exercise and host regular fitness challenges such as the one that took place at Flora Park Spar recently.

The aim of the event was to show people exercises they can do outside of the gym without any equipment.

“We are trying to teach people simple exercises that they can do at home,” said personal trainer Vusi Manana. “We want residents to know the importance of working out even when they are at home or on holiday, especially now that we are heading toward the festive season,” Manana said. “The fitness challenge was very entertaining and I like the fact that it was outdoors. It was the perfect way to start my weekend and I already feel energised and refreshed. I would definitely do it again,” one of the participants, Makoma Bopape concluded.
