Lim teams move up on the PSL log

Limpopo teams look to secure more wins in their upcoming fixtures

POLOKWANE – BAROKA and Polokwane City FC redeemed their somewhat tarnished reputations at the weekend when each team registered their first win since the start of the season.

Baroka’s morale is running high as they bagged three points in an away game, beating Platinum Stars 1-0 at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg, North West while City and Highlands Park locked horns at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday where City won the game 3-2.

City now sit at seventh position on the PSL log while Baroka are three places behind in 10th place.

Baroka coach, Thobejane said he is happy with his team’s performance and believes the win will do wonders for the team’s confidence. “They are playing very good football and it is just unfortunate that they failed to find the back of the net on previous occasions,” he said.

Baroka face Cape Town City this coming Saturday, a promising team that will not hand Baroka three points without a fight.

Baroka celebrate their goal during the game against Platinum Stars.
