Rising stars shine at tennis camp

On Sunday, 11 September, different teams from Wheelchair Tennis South Africa took part in a regional camp at the Polokwane Tennis Courts.

POLOKWANE – The camp served to help beginner tennis players learn tricks of the trade from seasoned players. The older players taught the beginners how to manage racket and chair at the same time, and help build their confidence which will see them become better players.

Trainer, Patrick Selepe told Review the event is a great way for the young group to get to know their way around the court and test their abilities. “They think just because they are in a chair, they can no longer be active but this is not the case. Camps like these help them see what they are capable of,” Selepe said.
