JKA karatekas win big at tournament

POLOKWANE – Young karatekas from the Active JKA Karate Club showcased their skills during the recent JKA Karate Championships at Noorderland High School.

Four of the club’s karatekas won medals during the championship for both their kata and kumite styles.

Katlego Mokoma won bronze in kata and silver in kumite.

Kealeboga Talane won bronze in kata.

Jolter Matsaung won bronze in kata and silver in kumite.

Boipelo Mokgonyana won bronze in kata.

The club instructor, sensei Eliphus Ntata, said his students performed well against the other clubs during the championship and he is happy with the results.

“All my karatekas were at the top of their game and they did exceptionally well. They are still young and I am confident they will improve with time,” he said.
