Welcome in the Spring: E.H. Hassim Lente Trap on Aug 27

Entries for the race are already open and will close on 19 August.

POLOKWANE – Cyclists in and around Polokwane are encourage to start preparing for E.H Hassim Lentetrap that will be held on 27 August at the Polokwane Game Reserve. The race is expected to start at 7:30 and riders should bear in mind that the challenge will be guided by Cycling South Africa rules.

Cyclists can choose to compete in either the 60 km marathon, 42 km half marathon or the 16 km fun ride. There will also be a kiddies race for toddlers. Entries for the race are already open and will close on 19 August.

Cyclists are required to pay R140 to participate in the Marathon, R120 for Half marathon, R50 for fun ride and R30 for kiddies ride.

The first 200 entries will win goodie bags.

There will be refreshment stalls and jumping castle for children.

According to Ronel Delport, race organiser they had about 420 entries last year and they are hoping to get even more this year. All the proceedings of the event will be donated to Alex van Dyk. Alex is a sport fanatic but cannot compete anymore as he was involved in a motorbike accident. The money will help him pay his medical bills and get a new set of prosthetic legs for him to compete in sport again. This challenge is held by E.H Hassim together with Polokwane Pedallers Cycling Club (PPCC).
