52 Zanis gymnasts chosen for represent province

64 Rhythmic gymnasts of Zanis Gymnastics Academy competed and excelled at the Limpopo Powerade Rhythmic Competition recently.

POLOKWANE – Out of the 98 gymnasts from Limpopo who competed, 64 were from Zanis and out of the 64 Zanis girls, 52 were chosen for the Limpopo team.

Zanis entered 16 sections of which they won 14, receiving a total of 96 medals – 44 gold, 33 silver, and 19 bronze.

Four of the Zanis received the awards for top gymnasts of the day.

• Overall first place winners:

Tara Thompson (Level 1 u/6), Reatlegile Ledwaba (Level 1 u/7 and top Level 1 junior gymnast), Celeste van Tonder (Level 1 u/8), Lehlogonolo Semenya (Level 1 u/9), Rebhotile Letshedi (Level 1 u/10), Tumi Mulaudi (Level 1 u/11), Claire Tairoodza (Level 1 over 11 and top Level 1 senior gymnast), Dorothy de Lange (Level 2 u/7), Kiara van Breda (Level 2 u/8), Joelle Baker (Level 2 u/9), Thato Moeno(Level 2 u/10), Ntsnxeko Mnisi (Level 2 u/11), Mikaila Jacobs (Level 3 u/9), Klara Pretorius (Level 3 u/10).

• Overall second place winners:

Janelle Malan, Nadia Grobler, Basani Msimeki, Dineo Phiri, Caelyn Anders, Lebopeng Chuene, Karabo Mashamaite, Clarissa Combrinck, Ofilwe Hlabyago, Katlego Chuene, Sarah Diederichs.

• Overall third place winners:

Mmatapa Mamabolo, Naledi Jantjies, Alisha Fritz, Sheldine Bouverie, Liana Pragji, Thandulwazi Mashigo.
