POLOKWANE – Held under Softball South Africa (SSA), the tournament took place at the Polokwane Cricket Club from 17 to 20 March.
Both male and female softball teams competed in this tournament.
In second place was Tshwane, while Ekurhuleni took the third spot.
In the women’s category, Western Cape was in first place, while Ekurhuleni and Tshwane took second and third places respectively.
Limpopo women’s team claimed fifth place.
SSA president, Mashilo Matsetela, said this was the third time Limpopo hosted the championships.
“Historically, Limpopo has been weak when it comes to women’s softball, but team is improving every year, and I hope they will get to lift the trophy some day. We appreciate the effort the teams and players made, and I would like to urge them to keep on training hard to reach the national softball standard,” said Matsetela.
