Students kicked their way to 14 gold medals

A total of 19 students from the Limpopo Province Sport Karate/ Kickboxing Academy competed in the recent Inter Provincial Karate and Kickboxing Tournament on the East Rand, Gauteng.

POLOKWANE – A total of 19 students from the Limpopo Province Sport Karate/ Kickboxing Academy competed in the recent Inter Provincial Karate and Kickboxing Tournament on the East Rand, Gauteng.

“They proved hard work and dedication pave the road to success,” said their proud coach, Nico Myburgh Sr.

The 19 students won a total of 34 medals at the tournament – 14 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze.

Junior Black Belt, Leandri Peyper, was the best in a very competitive division and awarded with the Junior Champ of Champs Trophy.

“A few students will soon head to Cape Town for the Nick’s Martial Arts (NMA) and International Sport Karate Association (ISKA) South Africa Championships,” said Myburgh.
