POLOKWANE – The Polokwane oval club will host the final race for this year this weekend at the Polokwane show grounds.

Spectators are requested to bring a can of food or box of long-life milk that will be handed over to a local shelter for the festive season.

The entrance fee will be R60 for adults and R20 for children under 13 years. The event kicks off at 18:00, but the gates open at 12:00.

Added action to look forward to this Saturday

The biggest sprintcar race for 2015 will take place as well, with multiple US champion, Jimmy McCune taking on great names like Jacques Roos, Willie Zurich, Kenny Gouws, Charles Carlson and hometown driver Roulph Nel.

Twelve cars will line-up for the R10 000 cash prize, which is sponsored by Advanced Auto Electrical.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this man in action, and he will have his hands full with Willie Zurich, who is currently driving an astoundingly quick time around the oval.

All the other competitors in the various classes will give it their all to clinch the club championship, and the Ninja Midget class has grown to include five drivers, with the youngest being only five years old.

There will be a jumping castle to keep the children busy, and a treat for all children at interval.
