CRICKET ACTION: LIC take on Mpumalanga Titans on Saturday

POLOKWANE – This weekend there is some exciting cricket action to look forward to at Capricorn High School’s Bain Lavers Oval.

The Limpopo Impala Cricket (LIC) team will take on the Mpumalanga Titans in their quest to qualify for the Cricket South Africa Rural Tournament in February 2016.

“It is still the early stages of the competition but a win will go a long way in instilling confidence in the players for the rest of the season.

We urge the residents to come out in numbers to support our boys,” Dumile Skade, LIC coach, urged.

The match will take place on Saturday at 10:00 so make sure you don’t miss out on the cricket action this weekend.

Saturday 31 Oct: Aces and Eagles’s second teams clashed in a highly anticipated 50-over match at the Polokwane Cricket Club – the Aces won the match comfortably with seven wickets.

Sunday 1 Nov: Eagles and Seshego Cricket Club’s first teams battle it out in a 50 overs match at the Polokwane Cricket Club – Eagles won with eight wickets against some very fast bowling from the Seshego team.

Premier League

In the Premier League (first teams) the Hornbills Cricket Club is still at the top of the log with the Eagles following short on their heels in second place.

Promotional League

In the Promotional League (second teams) the Eagles are at the top of the log with the Tzaneen Asians in the second spot.

The Premier League will take a much deserved breather this weekend after five rounds of fixtures.
