POLOKWANE – Dancers from Nonnie de Lange Dance Studio participated in dance exams that were held recently at the studio. Dancers had to impress Zané de Wet, who was the examiner to scoop points and awards.

According to Nonnie de Lange, dance coach, all the dancers did exceptionally well and she is happy with their performance. “We participate in the dance exams once a year to asses dances in various dance genres. The dance exams are held annually with the aim to prepare dancers for various competitions,” said De Lange.

She added that they will be taking a few dancers to the South African Dance Championships that will be held in Centurion in October. Dancers were assessed in dance genres such as modern dance, tap dance, two step, waltz, hip hop, break dance and line dancing, among others.

She added that they are preparing the dancers to become dance teachers in the future and take dancing to the next level. Some dancers got distinctions plus while other received Honours with distinctions for their best performance.

“I am very happy the results and I see a brighter future ahead of all the dancers. Dancers should be passionate about what they do in order to live their dreams. Our studio is registered with South Africa Dance Teachers’ Association,” explained De Lange.

She further said Nonnie de Lange Dance Studio has been operating for 31 years now with a 100% pass rate every year. Dancers showcased some of their dance moves during the photo session.
