‘Milano still as solid as rock’ says coach

'The team is prepared and Leopards shouldn't undermine us. We can win the match or draw it' says Brandon Truter before the National First Division league clash against Black Leopards on Saturday.

LIMPOPO – Milano United AFC‘s technical director, Brandon Truter says all speculation that his team is going into the lion’s den at the National First Division league clash against Black Leopards on Saturday at the Thohoyandou Stadium, will be proven wrong. He said they are as solid as the rock of Gibraltar.

Truter responded after soccer fanatics speculated that Milano was going to donate points to Lidoda Duvha.

He said his team is prepared and Leopards shouldn’t undermine them. He further said they signed eight new players, two strikers, three defenders, two midfielders and the talented centre-back, Junid Sait, who played in Sweden. “We can win the match or draw it,” said Truter confidently.

Leopards fans still trust that their attacking midfielder, Roggert Nyundu, who rejoined Lidoda Duvha three weeks ago after his attempts to sign a deal with Bidvest Wits failed, will make his team to secure maximum points. Nyundu played for Leopards last season on a loan deal from Polokwane City FC.

Leopards also signed 12 new bloods to strengthen the team in its mission to return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) at the end of the 2015/16 season.

Spokesperson for the Black Leopards, Barry Ramunenyiwa, said they want to set the tone for this season by winning the opening games. He said Nyundu and Leonard Ntshangase will play on Saturday. He said Leopards supporters should come and support their team, stronger than they did last season.

“Last season the team didn’t start well, they only organised themself a bit later on. We have off-loaded the Zimbabwean Abbas Amidu, Ghanaian Mumuni Abubakar, Congolese Jean Djunga Munganga, Thomas Madimba, Ntokozo Mbhele, Tshidiso Shimi Radebe, Karabo Tshepe, Sanele Mkhize, Maboke Phineas Matlakala, Samuel Tefu and Siphamandla Sithole. We have replaced them by 12 new players,” said Ramunenyuiwa.
