According to the report,  the accusation came from Funeka’s trainer Dokes Sikonyela, he claims that the Mulovhedzi’s camp were allegedly seen with suspicious muti objects before the fight.

The muti spell on Funeka caused his eyes to glaze over every time Funeka returned to the corner after each round said Sikonyeli.

“I have never seen Ali looking like that.”

“His knees refused to support him and he still does not have a recollection of what happened there.”

Sikonyeli further said that he had never believed in muti before “but now I know it exists and it is powerful.”

After the fight Sikonyeli alleged that he had to go to Mulovhedzi’s ante room “to ask him to come and shake Funeka’s hand so that the evil spirit on Ali can go away.”

It was only after they shook hands that Funeka recovered, explained Sikonyela.
