Bulls are not discouraged

The u/18 Limpopo Blue Bulls are now more motivated than ever to work harder next year after losing two of their three matches during the 2015 Coca-Cola Craven Week held in Stellenbosch from July 13 to July 18.

POLOKWANE – The u/18 Limpopo Blue Bulls are now more motivated than ever to work harder next year after losing two of their three matches during the 2015 Coca-Cola Craven Week held in Stellenbosch from July 13 to July 18.

The Bulls lost two of their final games with a loss against the Leopards and a loss against Boland.

After their initial loss against the Leopards, the Bulls came back in full force during their match against Grens-Platteland which they won 34-20.

Unfortunately the Bulls could not keep up their winning momentum and lost with 52-7 against Boland.

Boland led the match 17-0 by half-time keeping up the challenging pace and continued to dominate the match. During their match against the Leopards, the Leopards scored four tries while the Bulls only managed to score three tries.

At half-time, the Bulls were behind and only accumulated five points, while the Leopards led the match with 14 points. Bulls head coach, Andrew Hay, said the unfavourable weather conditions were mainly to blame.

“The players hadn’t seen rain in about two weeks or more and they were forced to play in the rain during Craven Week. I think the weather worked against us, but the boys played exceptionally well,” said Hay.

He explained that a few of the players received bursaries from various institutions while others signed contracts to join the u/19 Limpopo Blue Bulls team.

He added that they would soon start with training camps to prepare for next year’s Coca-Cola Craven Week.
