Set to take WBF title

THE South African bantam weight champion, Bukiwe Nonina (23) of Giyani is going to face off against Sharadene Fortuin in the World Boxing Foundation (WBF) vacant title to be held in East London on August 14.

LIMPOPO – THE South African bantam weight champion, Bukiwe Nonina (23) of Giyani is going to face off against Sharadene Fortuin in the World Boxing Foundation (WBF) vacant title to be held in East London on August 14.

Nonina’s trainer, Emmanuel Mutavhatsindi is opitimistic that the belt is coming to Limpopo.

“Fortuin is going to be a strong competitor. We know she is very quick in the first two rounds, but she loses focus and strength when the fight continues. Nonina is ready and we are going to knock her down with a technical knockout,” he says.

“Nonina was supposed to fight her cousin, Sisanda Kikiteni from the Eastern Cape on August 16, but Kikiteni’s camp did not sign the contract on time.

“We will consider Kikiteni’s fight after the WBF fight,” Muthavhatsindi says.

The biggest problem they are facing is the fact that Nonina has no sponsor. They are looking for a sponsorship and interested people can contact Nonina’s trainer, Emmanuel Muthavhasindi at 073 562 6801.
