POLOKWANE – POLOKWANE City FC unveiled their three new signees, Punch Masenalema, Nazier “Kaka” Jacobs and Thomas Randy Ngobe during a media briefing at the club house on Friday.

Masenamela was warming the bench at Mamelodi Sundowns, while Jacobs was a midfielder at Milano United.

The son of former Black Aces player, Thomas “Junior” Ngobe, Ngobe played for Witbank Spurs.

City FC chairperson, Johnny Mogaladi, said the three players would add value to the team, and that four other players including two centre backs and a goalkeeper would join the team soon. “We had problems with the left back and we are fortifying it with Masenamela. We are going to play our first match of the 2015/16 season against Bloemfontein Celtic soon, where people will see the new Rise and shine. It will be a new team that doesn’t easily concede goals. Kaka will reinforce the midfield together with Coal Alexander. We are also going to unveil a new jersey,” said Mokgaladi.

“When it comes to signing players, we prefer 80% local players and 20% from outside Limpopo. Masenamela will return to Bafana Bafana and Kaka will also be knocking at Shakes Mashaba’s door.”
