POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Golf Club hosted the Audi Golf Quattro Cup last Thursday.
SuperSport presenter Matthew Pearce was the guest speaker at the prize-giving, which also included an impressive presentation from Audi.
The tournament was played in a greensomes stableford format, where a team is made up of two players, who both hit a tee shot.
The best drive is then selected and the player whose ball was not selected then plays the next shot. The pair alternates shots until the ball is holed.
Results:
1. Riaan Koekemoer and Lynette Smith with a score of 48 points.
2. Francois Goosen and Raymond Pratt with a score of 44 points.
3. Llewellyn Prenzler and Pieter du Toit with a score of 42 points.
The qualifiers will go on to compete in the Audi Quattro national final which will take place later in the year.
