Polokwane City FC wants Striker Nyundu back

BLACK Leopards will have to scout for new strikers for the next season due to Polokwane City FC’s announcement that they want to bring back Roggert Nyundu after the National First Division (NFD) play-offs.

LIMPOPO – BLACK Leopards will have to scout for new strikers for the next season due to Polokwane City FC’s announcement that they want to bring back Roggert Nyundu after the National First Division (NFD) play-offs.

Nyundu, a top goal-scorer at Leopards joined Lidoda duvha on a loan agreement.

Polokwane City FC’s chief operations officer, Tincy Tema, said on Wednesday during the press conference held at the clubhouse in Polokwane that Nyundu belonged to Rise and Shine and would rejoin the team after the play-offs.

Tema also refuted the allegations that the team was in negotiation with their previous coach, Vladislav Heric as the current coach, Kostadin Papic’s contract ended next month.

He said while Papic’s contract ran until June, the club had already exercised its right and renewed his contract for the next season. “This means Papic will still be coaching Rise and Shine in the coming season (2015/16) and is going nowhere. Rumours that we are in negotiation with Heric are highly disturbing.  The truth is that we have no ambition to negotiate with Heric.  The rumours didn’t sit well with Papic, supporters, sponsors or the people of Polokwane as a whole,” he said.

Papic said he was happy that he fulfilled one of his mandates; to save the team from relegation to the first division. He said his target for the new season was to stabilise the team. “We are going to introduce new players, but there will be no open trials,” Papic said.
