MOKOPANE – MORE than 35 children from disadvantaged schools in the Waterberg district had the opportunity to be coached during a prestigious hockey coaching clinic at Mokopane Primary School last Saturday.

The clinic was facilitated by members of the Limpopo Provincial Hockey Association, Mpho Moretsele, Harry Mphahlele and Kubs Koza. This event was one of the workshops sponsored by Folang Trust to develop sports in the community, in particular hockey.

The coaches of the teams learnt a lot at the clinic and are now fully equipped with the necessary skills to lead their teams to greatness when they participate in the South African School Sports League later this year.

“I am sure that we will be seeing these teams at the provincial as well as the national championships at the end of the year,” Koza said.

The children and the coaches of the different schools thanked Mokopane Primary School for hosting the event. They also thanked all the sponsors: Folang Trust and Ebros Flame Grilled Chicken, for contributing to the success of the day.
